Knights Castle

The Castle of the Knights is located on the west side of the island, at the highest point of the village of Symi and is built on the ancient citadel. Across the acropolis there are traces of Pelasgian walls, as well as Mycenaean ceramics. There are also many coats of arms from the time of the Knights of St. John. At the top of the Castle stands the stone chapel of Virgin Mary "Kyra", with panoramic views of Gialos.
