Nautical - Folklore Museum

The Nautical - Folklore Museum of Kalymnos was founded in 1994 and is located in Pothia. The museum has four halls, displaying articles on the profession of sponge and sponge processing. The exhibits illustrate the naval tradition of the place, but also the history and method of sponge-fishing. There are also many objects from shipwrecks of old ships, as well as traditional costumes, period furniture and objects of everyday life of the residents.
